Terms of Use

Effective September 17, 2026

The short version: EasyNavLog is a flight-planning and training aid. It does the arithmetic and gathers public data for you; it does not replace your POH, an official weather briefing, NOTAM and TFR checks, or your judgment as pilot in command.

1. What EasyNavLog is

EasyNavLog (easynavlog.com) is a website that builds VFR and IFR navigation logs from a route and aircraft performance figures you enter, using publicly available data from the FAA, the National Weather Service, NOAA and OpenStreetMap. It is intended for flight training and pre-flight planning.

2. Not an official briefing

Nothing on this site is an official weather briefing, NOTAM check, TFR check, or aeronautical chart. Data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and the FAA data cycle we ship may have expired. You are responsible for verifying every number against your aircraft's approved flight manual, obtaining an official briefing from an approved provider (for example 1800wxbrief), and complying with all regulations before flight. The pilot in command remains the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.

3. Your account

You may create an account to save airplanes, waypoints and flights. Keep your password private and tell us if you believe your account has been used without permission. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

4. Free and paid features

Core planning is free. Some features (such as school-specific layouts) may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, prices and cancellation will be shown at the time of purchase. Before you are asked for card details we show the price, the billing period and the renewal terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account in the app, in the same place you subscribed; cancelling stops all future charges immediately and keeps access until the end of the period you paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no retention call. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: a full refund within 14 days of your first charge, for any reason.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to overload, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the service or its data sources, and do not use it for anything unlawful. School layouts are provided for students' convenience. They are named by city, use no school name, logo, crest or seal, and are neither endorsed by nor affiliated with any school, college or university. If you represent a program and would like a layout changed or removed, email support@easynavlog.com and we will do it promptly and without argument.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyNavLog and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from use of the service or reliance on its output. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case these limits apply to the extent permitted.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.

7. Your responsibility as pilot in command

This is the clause that matters most, so it gets its own heading. EasyNavLog performs arithmetic on numbers you supply and data from public sources. It does not fly the aircraft, does not know your aircraft's actual condition or loading, and cannot see the weather you will meet. Every output is a proposal to be checked, not an instruction to be followed. You must verify headings, distances, fuel, altitudes and airspace against your approved flight manual, current charts and an official briefing before you fly. Under 14 CFR 91.3 the pilot in command is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of the aircraft, and nothing on this site changes that.

8. Intellectual property and takedown

The software, site design, written guides and the EasyNavLog name are ours. You may print and use the navlogs you generate for any purpose, including commercial flight training; the output is yours. If you believe anything here infringes your copyright, email support@easynavlog.com with the work, the URL, and your contact details, and we will review and remove promptly where the claim is reasonable.

9. Indemnity

If your use of the service in breach of these terms causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Brevard County, Florida, and both of us consent to that venue. Nothing stops either of us from bringing a claim in small claims court. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

11. Changes

We may change the service or these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date; continued use after that means you accept them.
